Open Trainings
Our open trainings are designed to help you work through a clearly defined topic in a fixed, well-planned setting — as hands-on classroom trainings with a mix of clear context, solid foundations, and above all: practical work. We focus on outcomes that don’t just “work during the training”, but remain reproducible in day-to-day projects: with traceable steps, typical pitfalls, and a methodology you can transfer to your own environment.
Many topics are scheduled regularly throughout the year — often twice, and more frequently when demand is high. This gives you flexibility: if one date doesn’t fit, there is often a suitable alternative later in the year.
For us, open trainings are not a “lecture-only program”, but a format where questions are explicitly part of the process. Groups are set up to allow exchange without losing the thread of the training. For many participants, this mix is exactly what matters: a reliable curriculum, real exercises, and insights from other companies and teams.

Who are open trainings for?
Open trainings are ideal if …
- you want to work through a predefined topic in a focused and predictable way
- you want to attend as an individual or with a few colleagues, without the internal coordination effort of an in-house format
- you value exchange: different perspectives, typical questions, and practical experience from various environments
If you need to tailor content strongly to your systems, roles, or internal processes, an in-house training is often the better choice.
Locations

We run our open trainings primarily at two in-house locations:
- Switzerland: Comelio Swiss GmbH, Zug
- Germany: ComelioCademy (training center near Ruhr University; planned opening May 2026)
Having our own locations mainly means reliable conditions. Rooms, equipment, and processes are designed for trainings — with a working atmosphere that supports focused learning.
In some cases, we also use external, easy-to-reach conference rooms — for example for special dates or to expand capacity. In those cases, the training remains in the advertised region; only the specific venue may change. We communicate any changes early.
Learning environment

Our training environment is intentionally optimized for “work, not events”:
- clear presentation setup (display/projector), whiteboard/moderation materials
- good visibility and acoustics
- suitable workstations for longer hands-on exercises
- stable internet connection (at our own locations with modern infrastructure, designed for parallel work)
You will receive details on travel, times, and the daily schedule in good time before the date.
Technology

So the training does not start with installations, we provide a preconfigured working environment for many topics. In practice, this means:
- you open a virtual training workstation in your browser
- tools, exercise data, and materials are already prepared
- nothing needs to be installed on your device — the training can start right away
What you should bring: ideally your own laptop (a current browser is usually sufficient).
Loan devices: possible in individual cases, but must be arranged in advance.
Booking & status

Registration is done directly via the course catalog. To help you assess planning reliability, we show a delivery status for each date (traffic-light system). This status is visible before booking and is updated continuously.
Status overview
- Course planned – not yet confirmed
- Not yet confirmed – almost reached
- Confirmed – seats available
- Confirmed – only a few seats left
- Course cancelled – booking not possible
This gives you a transparent indication without putting internal thresholds in the foreground (they can vary by topic and date).
What happens after registration

After registering, you receive an acknowledgment. Then you will get all information you need for participation, in particular:
- organizational details for the date (location, times, schedule)
- guidance on the working environment/technology (access, procedure, requirements)
- contact options for organizational questions and, if helpful, content-related questions
Once a date is finally confirmed, this is reflected in the status accordingly. In every case, we do our best to ensure that each booking is actually carried out.
